He’s Risen! Hallelujah!

He’s Risen! Hallelujah!

It’s Day 196 of the Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Project and He’s risen! Hallelujah! Playing the Easter Bunny, a praise service at church, lunch, preparing dinner, then an egg hunt and pictures at our house have made for a busy but beautiful Resurrection Day. Even so, the best part of it was my son and daughter waking me with “Hallelujah, praise the Lord!” from him and “Yay, the big stone was rolled away” – something she’s said since she was a little girl- from her. You see, I shared the Good news of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection with them when they were little, and they accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. To hear them articulate their faith without any prompting made me feel like Mommy Mission Accomplished!

Hallelujah! The Big Stone Is Rolled Away!                                                                                                    Me, Pink Collar Coach, outside the empty tomb on the set of our church’s Passion play.                Easter is the best Sunday of the year, and I’ll never be too old for a pretty dress. Believe it or not, it was purchased separate from the handbag. The florals don’t match but coordinate perfectly. The gold shrug and sling backs shoes are oldie but goodie go-tos. All Calvin Klein from TJ Maxx.

As a Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Lover of Jesus Christ, what a blessing the day has been! I know He lives, and because He does, there’s nothing in this life I can’t face. Personally or professionally. Furthermore, the sting of death and the grave’s victory are gone because He not only rose but went to prepare a place for me that I can be with Him eternally. And that’s the true hope of Easter – not only for me, but for you, too. All you have to do is believe that He’s risen! Hallelujah!

If you’ve never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, my prayer is that you’ll be Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose and do it today.

Be savvy & chic,

~Pink Collar Coach

Good Friday and Florals

Good Friday and Florals

It’s Day 294 of the Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Project, and as it has ever since I can remember, it rained on Good Friday – like heaven weeping over Jesus’ death; nevertheless, it really is a good day, so I wore florals to celebrate. Other than emailing a follow up to a coaching client and teaching Zumba class with faith-based songs that made it feel like praise dancing, I’ve done no other work. Instead, I spent the afternoon picking out a new Christian novel and hanging out with family and friends. Though Good Friday is the day we remember Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, His death gave us the gift of eternal life. Mixing florals of different patterns and sizes but with similar colors felt festive, fun and even faith-filled (flowers symbolize life for me) on Good Friday.

Me, Pink Collar Coach, in a large floral pattern dress & shrug I’ve had for years. The small pattern floral handbag on a brown background & bone sandals is a stretch for me – not perfectly matched but perfectly pretty.  All Calvin Klein from TJMaxx. OPI Funny Bunny nail polish for Easter!

As a Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose believer in Christ and in hard work, it felt great to take a day off. Since I’ve been working from home I’ve taken very few…Even so, I couldn’t let the day pass without publicly praising God for loving the world enough to send His Son to the cross that we could be saved. If only one person reads this and is somehow touched by the Good News that though Jesus’ death was brutal, He bore our sins and atoned for them. He was buried so so that our old sinful self could be buried, too. And He rose again, so that we may be raised to a new life in Him. It’s Friday, but praise God Sunday’s coming! Now that I’ve shared that, I’m going to get back to relaxing,  remembering and rejoicing in Him and His finished work on the cross – all in my Good Friday florals.

If you have questions about any of the above and how you can be Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose, I’d love to hear from you. Or you can start by reading a simple verse that explains how you, too, can believe and have eternal life: John 3:16.

Be savvy  & chic,
