This morning as I pray about many of the Ds –– challenges women face ––– in the form of debt, death, depression, diagnosis, divorce, domestic disputes, domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, dysfunctional relationships, etc., I’m reminded of a truth from a children’s book –– It could always be worse. That’s not meant to minimize the emotions, pain and suffering these Ds bring, but to bring perspective. No matter how devastating our Ds, if we look for His hand in the situation, we’ll find God’s provision, comfort, care, guidance, deliverance, peace, healing and love for us and will be able to see how we’re blessed in the midst of our mess. And that it could always be worse.

That’s my prayer for you today. That you’ll be Pink Collar Savvy & Chicand view your situation from this positive lens. When you do so, even if you’re unable to change or minimize the barrier itself, you’re mindset will be transformed and enable you to minimize the negative impact it has on you so you can maximize beauty and your best life. All to His glory.
50 Years Blessed and I woke up with my heart, soul and spirit full of worship for the God Who’s been faithful every single moment of it. I LOVE YOU LORD! THANK YOU!
A truly Pink Collar Savvy & Chic woman of God. I’d like to think this is how He sees me. Credit to the amazing artist.
May we all be truly Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose today and worship in spirit and in truth – no matter where we are or what we do.
Today, a lifetime of heartache, hurts and hard work yielded a harvest in the form of a bounteous bounty/life-changing opportunity that will enable me to live my purpose and best life. Will share more soon, but for now I’ll simply say Thank you, Lord! My cup truly runneth over!
It’s Day 384 of the Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Project and I’ve had a Pink Collar Savvy & Chic Swan 49th birthday! How so? As the Pink Collar Coach, I coach other women to minimize their barriers and to maximize their beauty and best lives – through total transformation. And thanks to faith, some family members, friends, fitness, and fun, I’ve done that for myself today. Most of us know, the Ds –– or the personal challenges we face –– don’t take our birthdays off. In my case, it seems like they worked overtime instead! Even so, from the moment I woke up, I’ve felt the love of my Heavenly Father directly and through others. I did church, Zumba, received cards and gifts, had a long heart-to-heart with a dear Swan Sister, got flooded with Facebook well wishes and texts, had a leisurely lunch and dessert for dinner, read a gripping new novel by one of my favorite secular authors, visited with my neighbor/Swan Sister who is older by a week, and did a little retail therapy shopping with my TJ Maxx gift cards. While there, I came across this lovely stationery that is the epitome of Shabby Chic and so aligned with my branding. I bought all six cards and look forward to blessing others with them the way I was blessed today. The serendipitous find was the perfect close to a Pink Collar Savvy & Chic 49th Birthday!
Swan on these cards is so reminiscent of the logo on my business cards –– the background color, crown, eyelashes, pink bill, pink on the wings, floral “nest” and wait for it –– collar –– perfection.
As a Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Birthday Girl, despite the Ds, I’ve had a lovely day. And like the card says, I’ve enjoyed every beautiful moment. Because it’s in the midst of the challenges that I most feel God’s presence in my life. That makes even the ugly moments beautiful ones. Ultimately and always He’s working everything for my good and His glory. Some have accused me of being “fake” and only posting the positive. That’s not it at all –– I chose to post the positive along with the negative but give more weight to to the former. It’s all about perspective and I choose JOY. Jesus First. Others Second. Myself Last. Besides, I don’t coach others to do this, I’m really trying to walk the talk. And if that encourages or inspires at least one woman –– or my male readers –– then I really am living my beautiful, best, on purpose life, including having a blessed Pink Collar Savvy & Chic 49th Birthday!
Are you Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose about minimizing the challenges that come on special occasions –– even your birthday –– and maximizing the beauty and best things? When you do, JOY, not the devil wins!
Missed my dearly departed daddy calling me around 4am –– when I was born –– and singing Happy Birthdayto You –– terribly out of tune but with so much love it was the prettiest song ever. Then I woke up to messages from so many who have reached out with Happy Birthday Wishes. Now I’m feeling adored and loved by you and by my Heavenly Father. Thank you. XOXOXO!
