Mellow in Yellow

Mellow in Yellow

It’s Day 375 of the Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Project, and I spent my day playing a serious game of catch up from not doing much yesterday but managed to still stay mellow in yellow. Though I only had one meeting on Hump Day –– an important one –– and didn’t post until near midnight, it was a productive day. Even so, today I had a full inbox of emails from others to deal with along with correspondence I needed to send myself. Scheduling meetings and prep for a life coaching session with a client right before I kicked off my new Thursday evening Zumba class were also on the day’s agenda. And with only a half hour between coaching and dancing, I resorted to a Clark Kent/Superman change in the restroom of our meeting site. Hectic and hot as the day was –– most of my work was done in my outdoor back deck office –– easy care, stylish professional pieces allowed me to stay cool, collected and mellow in yellow.

Me, Pink Collar Coach, just before I made the switch: Life Coach to Zumba Instructor. All of these Calvin Klein pieces  –– yellow cardigan, handbag, A-line skirt and kitten heels –– are oldies but goodies &/or staples. My yellow pieces – the cardi is actually a Macy’s clearance find from two summers ago & the handbag is circa 2011. It & all other items TJ Maxx except for floral shell w/yellow pops. It came Burlington!

As a Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose entrepreneur, life coach, author, speaker, and fitness instructor, my days can have me doing all of the above in twenty-four hours. I LOVE it! Still, there are times during planning –– like this morning –– when I wonder how I’m going to fit it all in. Add to that trying to be a loving wife and to schedule activities with my teens and it can be harrowing. But I’m kind of woman who can face the day with a) The Lord, b) a strong cup of coffee, and C) a great outfit. The latter definitely worked today because despite the madness, I remained mellow in yellow.

Are you Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose about planning your wardrobe to face whatever the day has to throw you – on the home-front or in the workplace? How you be more intentional about this to reduce stress and up your mellow factor?

Be savvy & chic,

~Pink Collar Coach
