It’s Day 287 of the Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Project, and since we got 5′ of snow yesterday, I decided to dress in a warm, comfortable, classy combination of blue and green velvet for a coaching session. The blue velvet top with trumpet sleeves was a Christmas gift, but because I didn’t have the right pants to wear with it until recently, today it got it’s first wear. The gorgeous green pants were inexpensive because they’re “out of season” – or so one would think seeing that’s it’s spring! When I assembled the outfit, I thought the two pieces were lovely together. Then my coaching client echoed my sentiment as soon as we met. Like I blogged about last night, the unexpected wintry weather has provided yet another blessing – the perfect opportunity for me to break out my blue and green velvet now instead of next year!
As a Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Coach, as much as I enjoy looking and feeling good during coaching sessions, what I love most is getting a fantastic progress report and then diving into the next item on my client’s agenda. Knowing I’m making a positive difference…I truly didn’t expect to leave my full-time employment several months ago, however, it’s been such an unexpected gift – being able to truly make a go of it with my own coaching agency. Though my days are busier than ever in many ways, and I’m pressured on many sides, all of that sure felt better when I was warm, comfortable and classy in blue and green velvet for my coaching session.
How about you? How does what you wear support what you need to get done on the home-front or in the workplace? How can you be more Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose about building outfits that make you feel and do your best?
