Day 58 of the Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Project caused me to reflect on when I was bullied as a child on the playground. Back then, I was afraid to speak up. Today, I’ve found my voice. The schoolyard bullies grew up and now bully in the workplace. They haven’t changed. But I have. I’ve found my voice and am no longer afraid.
As a Pink Collar Savvy and Chic on Purpose chick who grew up to be someone whose childhood nemeses wouldn’t recognize the strong, confident woman that weak, insecure girl grew up to be, I say bring it. Eventually, someone needs to sock the bully in the mouth – figuratively, not literally. I’m in the early rounds of my Pink Collar Coach War on Workplace Bullying, and I may go down, but believe me, if I do, I’m going down swinging.
Thanks to all of you who have checked out my posts, liked or commented. I feel virtually supported. Hope you’ll follow the fight and maybe even join it!
