It’s Day 52 of the Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Project, and it’s five years since my cohort, Kay Fittes of High Heeled Success, LLC and I collaborated for the first time to develop our workshop Equilibrium in High Heels. As the title suggests, the workshop is about maintaining work life balance. One of my favorite mentors from the Professional Development team where I first started training was an undercover artist and took what we envisioned for our fliers and handouts and created the gorgeous artwork pictured here.
The reason I’m blogging about it now is I feel as though I lost my balance today and fell off of the proverbial high wire. My hope is that in revisiting that workshop content here on my blog as a series, I’ll get my work life balance groove back. I can’t talk the talk if I’m not walking the walk. Or should I say riding the high wire?
Also, I want to be more intentional about writing content that is truly informational, insightful or inspirational for Pink Collar women on the home front or in the workplace. While a blog will be somewhat introspective just because of it’s nature, my purpose is to positively impact others. In addition to this, as I continue to educate myself on blogging best practices, I’ve realized not only does my content need to have more substance, it needs to be shorter. I’m going to aim for 300 words versus the 500 or so I’ve been writing. This will help restore some of that work life balance..
Despite having so much room to grow as a blogger, I’m learning so much about myself and am finding my voice. I hope you’ll continue to learn with me and hear the positive messages I’m sending out. If we do this together, we’ll truly be Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose together. More posts this week on this topic. Please stay tuned. Thank you for reading!
