Day # 32 of the Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose Project and I’m celebrating some purple rain. Not Prince Rogers Nelson Purple Rain (another post) but some captured by a Pink Collar sister who recently reached out for a new life. She’s doing amazing things for herself professionally, like attending school and completing an internship, but on the personal side, she’d been holding on to something that weighed her down and hindered her from embracing the new. After some impromptu coaching and follow ups, backed up with resources, action steps and prayer, this resilient woman has taken control of her situation and done the work to make some healthy choices. It’s as if the purple rain she captured in a photo is rejoicing with her.
As a Coach, I’m humbled and honored to have played a small part in this Pink Collar sister’s transition and to watch her transformation. All because I cared, listened and came alongside her on the journey. As Pink Collar Savvy & Chic on Purpose women in the workplace or at home, if we take the time truly be in it with others, we may experience the sweet joy of seeing them laughing in the purple rain. Couldn’t help myself!
